Abstract deadline extended to 22nd October. Send your abstract to email@example.com
The Danish Society for Pharmacoepidemiology is pleased to invite you to the annual meeting in Odense on the 31st October 2019. The theme of the day is: “Clinical implications of pharmacoepidemiology research – past experience and future directions”.
- Three of the founding fathers of pharmacoepidemiology in Denmark: Professors Henrik Toft Sørensen (Aarhus University), Gunnar Gislason (Copenhagen University Hospital Gentofte), and Jesper Hallas (University of Southern Denmark) will give talks about the clinical implications of their pharmacoepidemiology research.
- Liam Smeeth, Professor at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine will give a talk about the future directions in pharmacoepidemiology.
- Nikolai Brun, Director of Division in the Danish Medical Agency will outline the setup and perspectives of the new data analysis centre in the Danish Medicines Agency, aimed at examining post-marketing drug safety and efficacy.
- Olaf Klungel, Professor at Utrecht University will give a talk on designing and analyzing large scale multi-national pharmacoepidemiological studies.
The annual DSFE meeting is also a chance for all early-stage researchers (from undergraduate to and including postdoc level) to present their research to a broad audience interested in pharmacoepidemiology. From the submitted abstracts we will select 4 works to be presented orally with 10 minutes for the presentation followed by 5 min questions from the audience. There will be a prize to the best oral presentation. The submission deadline is Oct 22 and abstracts should be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org (word limit: 400 words, maximum 1 figure, language: English, work published in 2019 can also be submitted). If you are a senior researcher, please spread the word to your students/post docs.
Register early, as places are limited. Please sign up by sending an email to email@example.com. If you are unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed online as well.
All presentations and recordings will be available on this page shortly after the meeting.
